Git Gud 089 - Making a Multi-Dimension Rollercoaster!

Hey everyone!
One of the rides that was added to the game in RCT2 was the multi-dimension coaster. Only a few of these exist in the world, and they are pretty intense rides! What's special about a multi-dimension coaster is that their seats are to the side of the track, and they can rotate around their axis! The trains can run either on top of the track or below the track, and by rotating the seats you can let the guests either face backwards or forwards. You can even make them face upwards or downwards if you want to! The amount of different track elements you can use on this type of coaster is quite limited, but by applying the track elements that are available in clever ways, you can make really nice track layouts!

Hey everyone!
OpenRCT2 allows you to give every ride every available operating mode if you enable a cheat. This can give some really funny results if you use those operating modes on rides that were not made for them. One such fun combinations is using the operating modes for the top spin, like Berserk mode or Beginner mode, on tracked rides like a steeplechase or a virginia reel. Instead of moving through the track layout, the vehicles will just stay in place and rock back and forth! This will allow you to add some really compact but fun rides to fill up some small spaces you have left in your park or your mall, but they can also work really nicely as some moving scenery!

Hey everyone!
Queue paths normally don't allow junctions, you are only supposed to build them as path tiles that connect on two sides. Some interesting things happen when you connect more than two sides on a queue path tile, however! When you go into the Tile Inspector and select a queue path piece, just like with other paths you can set the edges that you want to be connected. When you select more than two edges, the queue path tile will turn invisible, because there is no sprite for a queue path that connects on three sides. When this path tile is above the ground however, the supports for this invisible piece will still show! These supports have a nice texture that can look great in some situations!

Hey everyone!
Some real rollercoasters have a chainlift that pulls up a train, and then releases it backwards. In OpenRCT2, it is also possible to make a track that has this behavior! In order to do this, a small piece of chainlift is built on a hill. Right after this chainlift, the track is merged with a dinghy slide so the train gets pulled onto the dinghy slide track. Lower down on the track, the dinghy slide continues, but with a fully enclosed tube style track which bypasses the chainlift. After the chainlift has been bypassed, the dinghy slide merges with the coaster again with a normal open track. The video below does a better job at explaining this trick! It's a fun trick to use for a shuttle coaster, it sadly does not work for a reverse-incline launched shuttle coaster though as forward chainlifts don't work in this mode.
