In OpenRCT2, some rides like the monorail and miniature railway allow you to use Shuttle mode. In shuttle mode, a powered vehicle will continue along the track until it finds the end, where it will then reverse direction. This mode was made to allow a point-to-point track between two stations, without the need for a continuous circuit. In OpenRCT2, you can give any ride this operating mode, and it allows for some fun tricks!

You can use shuttle mode to reverse a powered coaster, for example. Just make the track end somewhere and the coaster will continue on in the reverse direction! If you also make a switch track somewhere you can make it follow a different layout backwards. This trick will work for any powered vehicle, so vehicles that move on their own like the car ride, monorail cycles, monorail, powered coaster, log flume and others!
