Git Gud 069 - Recreating a real ride in OpenRCT2!

Hey everyone!

Recreating real rides in OpenRCT2 can be a really fun thing to do! One thing you'll have to keep in mind though is that RCT2 is a grid-based game, so it is quite often impossible to recreate a ride 100%, especially when there's diagonal parts involved! Because of this, you will often find big differences in how people recreate a ride. Another thing to keep in mind is that RCT2 is quite an old game by now, so a lot of the technologies we see in coasters now did not exist yet. Usually there are nice ways to emulate stuff we see on modern coasters though!

Something else which you will have to keep in mind when recreating a ride is that it's usually not a good idea to try and make a coaster the same height as the real counterpart. What should be most important is that your coaster looks good in-game, and when you use real heights the scale will often look a bit off! The video below shows you some of these things to keep in mind, and how to apply them to your ride recreations!
