The air powered vertical coaster is quite limited in RCT2 in terms of the track pieces that are available to build one. With OpenRCT2, it is possible to make a more realistic layout by using a different track type for the ride! This should enable you to make a more accurate recreation of rides like Hypersonic XLC or (Do-)Dodonpa! I typically use the B&M Twister track, but I have also seen people use giga coaster track for this kind of coaster. The nice thing about using B&M Twister track is that it also allows you to make loops in the track without ugly looking merges, and of course it also has vertical track!
