Hey everyone! The Gerstlauer Bobsled is a ride type which you can find in many parks all over the world, but mostly in Europe. Unlike the name suggests, these rides are not actually Bobsleigh Coasters.. They are more like a modern version of a Wild Mouse coaster! They usually have single vehicles with 4 riders, and you can usually find some hairpin turns on them, just like on a regular Wild Mouse coaster. However, these coasters are also capable of doing banked curves and banked curved drops!
They are usually pretty compact, but often they are also heavily themed. Some of them are even built indoor and feature launches using booster wheels.
To make one of these in OpenRCT2, you will have to use some tricks to get two different track types to show on the coaster. You'll want mini coaster or giga coaster track for the main ride track, but you'll want steel wild mouse track for the hairpin turns and any short steep transitions.
In the following video you will see how to build a simple Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster!
