RCC84 - Stand-up Coaster Contest! (May 2026)

Hey everyone! On most roller coaster types the guests sit down in the vehicles. However, some manufacturers like Togo also made vehicles where the guest ride the train in a standing position! This coaster type also made it into Rollercoaster Tycoon, in the form of the Stand-up Coaster! The real stand-up coasters that were built by Togo only feature vertical loops or no inversions at all, but in Rollercoaster Tycoon you are a bit more flexible, as more inversions are available to you!

Rules

You are allowed to make teams of up to two people in this round!

  • Rule 1: You have to create a stand-up roller coaster. It must mostly consist of stand-up coaster track, but you are allowed to splice in sections of other track. You can use either the RCT1 or RCT2 version. You are not allowed to use the B&M version (the square steel twister track).

  • Rule 2: You have to use one of the stand-up coaster trains from RCT1, RCT2 or their official expansions. You are not allowed to use the big 4-across seating B&M style stand-up trains.

  • Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 27th of May 2026 at 19:00 CEST!

  • Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v3.1 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v3.1 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.

  • Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 2400 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 40 x 60 tiles, or 48 x 50 tiles.

  • Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.

  • Rule 7: Have fun!
