RCC76 - Transportable Coaster Contest! (September 2025)

Hey everyone! Most coasters at theme parks are permanent installations, but there are also coasters which travel around the world! You can often find one or more coasters at the bigger funfairs throughout the world. These coasters are often wild mouse coasters or family coasters, but there are also some larger coasters with multiple inversions like Olympia Looping. These traveling coasters all have compact layouts so they fit into a small footprint. The supports can not be connected to the ground, so these coasters usually have a metal structure on the ground which all supports connect to.

Rules

You are allowed to make teams of up to two people in this round!

  • Rule 1: You have to build a coaster that resembled a transportable coaster. The coaster must fit in a compact footprint.

  • Rule 2: The supports for the coaster must look like they connect to a structure on the ground.

  • Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 26th of September at 19:00 CEST!

  • Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v3 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v3 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.

  • Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 2500 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 50 x 50 tiles, or 62 x 40 tiles.

  • Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.

  • Rule 7: Have fun!
