Mekkit University 026 Diagonal Supports

Hey everyone!

Making realistic custom support structures can be difficult. Here is a trick that gives you an interesting and unique support section to add to your tool belt!

Diagonal Woodie Supports

The diagonal track supports from the outside of a wide curve can be copy and pasted as well as raised and lowered with the tile inspector, and looks good from all angles since the actual track piece this particular support is attached to has no sprite. Have fun with this one!

Diagonal Railroad Supports

Railroad supports painted chocolate brown match the queue supports. Because of this, we can copy and paste the railroad's triangle supports along with 4 point queues to make diagonal wood decking. (Remember to use specifically this diagonal support from the outside of the wide curve, not from a diagonal straight section of track. This support doesn't have any track connected to it. Its 100% support!)

Diagonal Minetrain Supports

Copy and paste a triangle support from a minetrain to make triangle support towers. Combine two triangles (rotate one of them 180deg) and two Surfaces in one tile, ordered like so, to make square towers. (Remember to use specifically this diagonal support from the outside of the wide curve, not from a diagonal straight section of track, as this support doesn't have any track connected to it, its 100% support)

Support Blockers for Wooden Supports

Where wide curve wooden tracks have a triangle support, the same wide curve steel tracks have an invisible corner piece. Copy this piece of track and paste it under wooden supports (wooden coaster, minetrain, square, diagonal, etc.). Adjust height to force the wooden supports to stop where desired. (Take care not to lose track of these invisible pieces and name the track something obvious like "_SUPP_BLOCKER" so in case of emergency, you can find the track in the ride list and demolish all of the invisible pieces.)
