October 2023 - LSM Launch Coaster
Hey everyone!
We have been blessed with new track pieces for the giga coaster! It would be a crime to not do anything with that, so for this month's contest, we will do an LSM launch coaster! You must build a launched giga coaster that uses the custom LSM launch coaster trains! There trains were created by X7123M3-256, who also created the new giga coaster track pieces! The coaster must have one or more launches. Remember the giga coaster now also has sloped launch pieces you can use!
Some examples of well-known LSM launch coasters are Cheetah Hunt, Maverick and Helix! You will find a link to the RCDB page of these coasters near the bottom of this page! You will also find a workbench that has the LSM launch coaster trains you need to use!
Rules
You are allowed to team up with one other person in this round! It doesn't matter if you teamed up with the same person in the previous round!
- Rule 1: You have to make an LSM launch coaster! You must use the giga coaster track, and you must use the custom LSM launch coaster trains that are included in the bench at the bottom of this page!
- Rule 2: The coaster must have at least one launch in the layout. You can use the boosters or sloped launch track for this.
- Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 27th of October at 19:00 CEST!
- Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v1 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v1 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
- Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 3600 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 70 x 50 tiles, or 60 x 60 tiles.
- Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.

How to join
- Step 1: Join my Discord server. Discord is completely free! https://dkmp.wtf/discord
- Step 2: Build your map and decorate it!
- Step 3: When you are done with your contest entry, go on Discord, and send the save file to me in a Private Message. For the name of the save file, I want you to simply use the name that you use on Discord. For example, if your discord name is Can of Rabbit Holes, for the save file name, use Dork.park (just kidding, use Can of Rabbit Holes.park). After you have sent the save file to me, I will look if it follows the rules, and I will check for anything you can still improve. You can resubmit your entry until the deadline of the round, even if I have already accepted it. Please deselect all unused custom objects before sending in the save file!
- Step 4: Submit a story for others to read in the voting poll! You can do this by writing your story in a Private Message to Deurklink on Discord!
After the deadline has passed, I will put up a voting poll with all the entries. In this voting poll, everyone who is a member on my Discord, including you, will be able to rate all the other entries, and leave a short review.
When the voting period is over I will announce the results in a Youtube video!
