Hey everyone! It's time to revisit a ride type which we did many years ago in a mini contest! For this contest everyone will have to make a Gerstlauer Bobsled! Unlike the name suggests, a Gerstlauer Bobsled is not actually a Bobsleigh Coaster, but it's more like a modern version of a wild mouse coaster. Just like a regular wild mouse it usually has one or more 180 degree hairpin turns and some steep drops or hills, but it usually also has some banked turns and banked hills. The first drop is often a large banked curved drop. You can find many of these rides all around the world, often without realizing it's a Gerstlauer Bobsled model! Examples of this ride type are G'sengte Sau at Tripsdrill, Tiki Waka at Walibi Belgium and Vilda Musen at Gröna Lund.
You are allowed to make teams of up to two people in this round!
Rule 1: You have to create a coaster that resembles a Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster. The coaster must use mostly Mini Coaster and/or Giga Coaster track. You also have to splice in at least 1 piece of Steel Wild Mouse coaster track. You can use this to make sharp turns or steep drops. If you don't know how to merge a track, ask on discord!
Rule 2: You can use any coaster train type for the coaster, as long as it seats 4 guests. The coaster trains should consist of single vehicles. (only 1 vehicle may be visible, you are allowed to do shoestrings etc.)
Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 25th of February 2026 at 19:00 CET!
Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v3.1 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v3.1 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 1600 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 40 x 40 tiles, or 30 x 53 tiles.
Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
Rule 7: Have fun!
