For centurys the timber industry was the backbone for the town of Oberhohenrauchenbach. But the changing world economy forced the community to search for other business models to create jobs for the inhabitants. So they decided to invest in tourism. They used parts of the old infrastructure to create a holiday destination for the whole family, with beautiful nature for hiking and several attractions for all ages. In the center of the project is a coaster called Timber!!1! that uses tracks from the old railroad that used to transport the logs and some of the old buildings were renovated. With only few fatal crashes and a low number of serious injured people per year it gained popularity and is now providing the village and its inhabitants jobs and a safe income.

As one of the many people who played RCT in their childhood I didn’t play the game for about twenty years. So I was really surprised and amazed that there is such a wonderful and active community around this game. This is my first participation in a contest so I look forward to your comments and advises for improving my building skills. I am obviously inspired by a lot of other people and their parks but it feels impossible to thank them all as their name is legion. But I want to say thank you a lot to the wonderful people behind openrct2. Whoever you are, you are amazing! And I want to thank Marcel, SSSammy and Deurklink for their videos that helped me learn a lot of stuff and got me really inspired!
