Hey everyone! It's time for a new Ride Creation Contest. For this contest, everyone will have to build a bobkart! A bobkart is a ride that used to be made by the company Wiegand where riders sit in a small vehicle in a half-pipe track. The vehicle takes power from a rail next to the track, and can drive through the entire track under its own power. This means the vehicles can also climb up and don't need a chainlift. The vehicles can travel through the track quite fast and they deliver a fun experience! Lower on this page I have linked some videos that show several different versions of these rides. I have also built one of these in Tutorial Park so you can see how to build one of these yourself!
You are allowed to make teams of up to two people in this round!
Rule 1: You have to create a Bobkart ride. You must use alpine coaster vehicles or other small vehicles on your ride. You must change the ride vehicle into a powered ride vehicle using the ride vehicle editor plugin. The tutorial below will show you how to do this if you're unsure.
Rule 2: The ride must use dinghy slide track and / or bobsleigh coaster track.
Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 27th of March at 19:00 CET!
Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v2.5 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v2.5 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 2400 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 48 x 50 tiles, or 40 x 60 tiles.
Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
Rule 7: Have fun!
