Every ending is a beginning. Terminus Station was the end of the line, where the tracks stopped at a turn around. The highway stopped there too. There wasn't much there; a closed mine, a prison, and a rarely used airfield a few miles out of town. Half the businesses and homes stood empty.
When the dead rose and started walking and attacking people, they managed to fence the core of the city, and enough fallow land to farm. When the aliens followed, attacking the weakened nations of the Earth, Terminus was mostly ignored. In the aftermath, Terminus rebuilt, and stayed vigilant. An old engineer called Crazy Gideon rebuilt the watermill, and wired it to generate electricity. He engineered the water purification plant, and the decontamination plant at the town's entrance. And he built amusement park style rides to give the people some distraction from everything that they'd lost.
Terminus became a survivor's refuge, and a trading post. It was one of the few places in the wasteland where civilization held, and it was fertile ground for the rebuilding to come.
The coaster decorated was originally called Lonely Traveler. It was from Mystic's entry from Ride Creation Contest 82, Wooden Coaster Contest 3. I decorated the ride, and then I re-envisioned the post-apocalyptic theme Mystic used, and rebuilt the rides (though the Launched Freefall may be hard to recognize). I added two rides of my own, a railroad and observation tower. I also added an area at the entrance for peeps to decontaminate or quarantine (more decoration than ride, but two more additional rides nonetheless).
