The Martian Region of Cydonia is littered with artifacts from the Martian civilization that once flourished on the surface. From the so-called Face of Mars, to the pyramids, to the ancient canals, and the ruined city, much has been learned, but far more remains buried. Xenoarcheologists are hard at work exploring the ruins, while scientists research Martian technology and try to decipher the ancient Martian language.

As Terrans terraform Mars, the planet slowly starts to sprout life once more. Though some Terran life has gained purchase, long dormant Martian plants have started to sprout once more, now that the atmosphere is nearing restoration, and water has once more started to flow across the surface. Some unverified reports claim that people have seen actual living Martians on the surface. And conspiracy theorists claim that deep underground, hidden vaults hold millions of living Martians in suspended animation, placed there to wait out the ecological catastrophe that turned Mars into a dead world.

This small amusement park has been built in Cydonia, in the Martian style, even utilizing some Martian technology. Of course, the monuments are just mock-ups of the real things, as the real Martian ruins are far too valuable to allow the public to freely wander them, and there are still unknown dangers to be discovered.
